Presentation Abstract

Many technical communication organizations face the same pressures: source content is late or incomplete, review support is limited, and senior management requires metrics to quantify team performance. When it comes to metrics, where should you start? This session is a case study of how one business unit at Intel tailored their operations to automatically generate metrics and how the metrics improved cross-functional cooperation and streamlined reporting to senior management.

What can attendees expect to learn?

In this session, you will learn about the:

  • Types of metrics generated by the Intel FPGA documentation team
  • Tradeoffs required to collect the metrics
  • Results the metrics achieved
  • Plans to get to the next level of success
  • Gaps in metrics still needed to fill
