Each year, we ask our CIDM Membership to participate in our annual benchmark study on a buzz worthy topic. This year, we chose metrics. Specifically, we asked information developers to share information on how they gather, measure, and prioritize data. Dawn and Sabine look forward to sharing the results at Best Practices.
Meet the Presenters
Dawn Stevens is the President, and owner of Comtech Services and the Director of the Center for Information-Development Management. With over 25 years of experience, including 15 years at Comtech, Dawn has practical experience in virtually every role within a documentation and training department, including project management, instructional design, writing, editing, and multimedia programming. With both engineering and technical communication degrees, Dawn combines a solid technical foundation with strong writing and design skills to identify and remove the challenges her clients face in producing usable, technical information and training.
Sabine Ocker has 20 years experience working in XML, and more than 15 years architecting, deploying, and migrating structured authoring systems at major companies. She’s worked on both Docbook and DITA implementations, and worn many hats—Information Architect, Content Strategist, web site librarian and Enterprise Metadata Czar. Sabine recently joined Comtech Services as a consultant, trainer, and superhero. When not working, Sabine is an amateur Photo Historian and enjoys collecting and talking about vintage snapshots.
