Documentation Production Metrics Using DITA within a CCMS
One of the little-known advantages of DITA is that its topic-based nature lends itself well to measurement. And while there is considerable material out there focusing on how to gather documentation metrics either for creating an ROI argument for moving to DITA or for purchasing a CCMS, there is relatively little information on how metrics can continue to aid management decisions when in a production environment. Based on IXIASOFT’s own documentation metrics, DITA Specialist Keith Schengili-Roberts demonstrates how documentation team managers and information architects can discern patterns from topic-based data and use them to improve the quality of DITA-based documentation for users.
