Are You Ready for Content 4.0?
There has been a lot of interest in the concept of Industry 4.0 as an expression of the way manufacturing is going. This talk looks at what emerges when we apply similar evolutionary stages to the the concept of content. This effort follows some prior work that had been directed towards looking at what Web 4.0 might look like. Once we get going, it becomes possible to explore collateral concepts using the same stages including information and documentation. As befits a TED-Like Talk, this session will embrace some big ideas and will raise some important questions about where the business of communication is going.
What can attendees expect to learn?
This concept of Content 4.0 is just now being hammered out but it appears, in early explorations, to make sense and it helps to paint a picture of the future that while partially unfamiliar also has the feel of inevitability to it. If nothing else, the concept, and the levels that lead us to Content 4.0, will spark conversation.
