Richard Frankland has worked for Radiometer Medical for 25+ years, starting out in sales roles in Sydney, Australia and after obtaining an MBA, moving into marketing roles in Denmark. Since 2008 he has been the Technical Publications Manager where, based on his core interests of strategy and process improvement and by applying Agile and lean principles, he has transitioned the department to using a DITA-XML based writing, translation and production system.

Keith is also an award-winning lecturer on Information Architecture at the University of Toronto and Durham College. He is also an active member of the OASIS DITA Adoption and Technical Committees. Karen C. Buchanan is a Senior Manager of the IBM Software Group. Karen is an experienced technical communication and project management professional with a focus on managing global teams, delivering quality content, and leading process innovation.
Mission Impossible
Abi came to work in IBM in 2013 to work in pre-sales events. She moved to her current role as an information developer in 2014, and currently works on the documentation for CICS. CICS (Customer Information Control System) is transaction server middleware, and is designed to support and process rapid, high-volume online transactions. Abi has cross-industry experience, and before working for IBM worked in a variety of roles, from chef to teacher. She also previously ran her own business, working with people and horses with confidence issues.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, and has completed the London and Paris marathons. Her next marathon is Amsterdam, in October 2015. Abi enjoys writing fiction, and sings in a choir. She has a horse and a dog, and lives in a very green part of England with her fiancé.
